2ergo Unites Citizens of the World through Mobile for “Hopenhagen”, a Global Movement to Inspire Participation in the United Nation’s Climate Change Conference

Selected as global mobile partner, 2ergo joins marketing industry leaders in support of the people’s campaign where mobile and social media are critical channels
Manchester, UK – October 27, 2009 – 2ergo, a leading global provider of mobile products and solutions, today announced its participation in “Hopenhagen”, a global marketing and communications initiative created by Ogilvy & Mather on behalf of the International Advertising Association to raise awareness of and involvement in December’s United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.
2ergo was selected by WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather to create an interactive mobile website that allows people around the world to learn more about the Hopenhagen initiative, sign a petition and share with friends. It reinforces the social networking strategy behind the Hopenhagen campaign and the www.Hopenhagen.org website that serves as a hub for mobilising the citizens of the world to become citizens of Hopenhagen.
Hopenhagen is a “global people’s campaign” designed to influence the United Nations Climate Change Conference. By creating a worldwide movement to connect individuals around the world with their leaders, the goal is to lead the world leaders to make the right environmental decisions. The Climate Change Conference, taking place December 7-18, 2009 in Copenhagen, will consist of leaders from 192 nations charged with addressing the future of our planet and ratifying a new international climate treaty.

Together with Ogilvy & Mather, who created the strategy and creative concept for Hopenhagen, 2ergo donated its services to build the Hopenhagen mobile website at m.hopenhagen.org. The companies also placed mobile detection code on the campaign’s main website ( www.hopenhagen.org ) to automatically redirect users visiting the URL from a mobile phone to the mobile site. At the mobile site designed by 2ergo, users can sign the Hopenhagen petition, learn more about the climate change conference, read related news and easily spread the word through Facebook and Twitter.
